According to the statistics from the General Administration of Customs of PRC,, China’s total volume of fertilizers reached 2.25 million tons (including Chapter 28 of HS codes Ammonium chloride and Potassium nitrate as well as Chaper 31 all chemical, mineral fertilizers) Among them, export volume of Urea Diammonium phosphate was 640 thousand tons and 370 thousand tons respectively.

From Jan.to Dec. of 2018, China’s export volume of fertilizers reached 24.94million tons, a decrease of 1.6 percent year-on-year; total export value was 7.152 billion yuan, up 16.2 percent year-on-year. The total export volume of Urea reached 2.44million tons, down by 46.3 compared with the previous year; total export volume of Diammonium phosphate was 7.47 million tons, up 16.7 percent from a year earlier; export volume of Potassium sulfate 8.7 thousand tons, down 39.3 percent; export volume of NPK 364.5 thousand tons, climb 773.9 percent year-on-year.

Import Status
In terms of imports, the total import volume reached 1.13 million tons in
Dec.2018. Among them, the total import volume of Potassium chloride and NPK were 980 thousand tons and 130 thousand tons respectively.
From Jan.to Dec. of 2018, import volume of Potassium chloride reached 7.46 million tons, down 1percent year-on-year; import volume of NPK 1.46 million tons, up 32.5 percent from a year earlier.
In 2018, the total import volume of Urea, Potassium sulfate and Diammonium phosphate were 160 thousand tons, 700 thousand tons and 600 thousand tons respectively.

China import 50 thousand tons Agricultural Urea from Ukraine in batches (Customs Declaration in June) was 50 thousand tons, 44 thousand tons from Bahrain (Customs Declaration in February), 30 thousand tons from Saudi Arabia (Customs Declaration in May), 21 thousand tons from Russia (Customs Declaration in July). Potassium sulfate was imported mainly from Russia and Germany. 60 thousand tons of Diammonium phosphate imported was all from Morocco (Customs Declaration in February).
